WHAT: “Creating Hope for Darfur–Where Faith Meets Action: An Interfaith Prayer Service”

WHERE: St. Mark’s Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove Street, Minneapolis (down the street from the American Refugee Committee). Free church parking.

WHAT: Book Reading of What is the What–a fictionalized memoir by Dave Eggers about Sudanese Lost Boy Valentino Achak Deng. Valentino will speak at the event as part of his national book tour. ARC–which currently serves more than 700,000 conflict-affected individuals from Sudan–will also be present at the event, and ARC Executive Vice President Karen Frederickson will introduce Valentino.
