Office Assistant needed at Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry

ORGANIZATION SUMMARY:
Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry (LPGM) is a mission advocacy organization that connects individuals and congregations with global mission opportunities. Based on partnership concepts of both giving and receiving, Lutheran Partners encourages people to grow in faith and witness by expanding their world. LPGM works with congregations in global mission education and advocacy, partners with existing churches and organizations throughout the world in worthwhile, dynamic and meaningful projects and exposes individuals directly to mission through travel and relationship building. LPGM’s largest project is a child sponsorship program with 1900 children sponsored in India. Currently we also have projects in Argentina and the Central African Republic.
JOB TITLE: Office Assistant
LOCATION: Twin Cities Metro
SALARY: Commensurate with experience TYPE: Part Time / 20 hours DEADLINE: Open Until Filled
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process all incoming donations
- Manage donor database
- Send thank you letters to donors
- Send reminder letters to child sponsors
- Assist in mailing the quarterly newsletter
- Provide overall office support, answering the phone, responding to donor inquiries, ordering supplies, corresponding with LPGM supporters via email and mail communications
- Other duties may include: assisting with website maintenance, developing brochures, and other duties as needed
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in computers including Word, Excel, Publisher and email
- Past database experience
- Past office experience
- Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexible and able to prioritize work assignments
